YouTube Giveaway!

We had sick kids here at our house yesterday and it was a madhouse. I didn't get to make the video but I got all the entries ready. My daughter Bre was excited and wanted to help. I don't know if I ever mentioned this before but my husband and I have seven kids. Yes... seven. Three out of seven were sick yesterday. Everyone seems to be feeling better today even though there are still some lingering coughs.

As I said... we have seven kids. We have His (3 Girls - ages 4, 10. 13), Mine (2 boys - 8, 15, 1 girl - 12) and.... Ours "What the heck were we thinking!" LOL.... our James is 3 years old. If you look at my very first post he was helping me in My Cricut Closet.

My daughters Bre and Jenna helped me with the video. Bre is a Kentucky Wildcats fan and excited about the  game tonight. LOL! She is wearing a UK hat in the video. My 15 year old son Kyle saw the video and said I shouldn't let her wear the hat. I laughed. He said they learned in marketing class that you should remain neutral in case your viewers/target audience likes a rival team. LOL... I hope no one takes offense to my sweet girl. It's not her fault... her daddy made her that way. LOL..

Congratulations to the winner!

Email me your snail mail address so I can get your stuff out to you :)

And of course... don't forget that today is the LAST day for Sale-a-bration. Get your order in.

LOVIN My Digital Studio!!!

I am so excited! I wasn't planning on posting anything today but I just couldn't help myself. I somehow stumbled upon a site called Julie's Stampin Spot. She had a MDS hybrid card. Don't know what that is? Well... it's a card made in MDS, printed out, then embellished by you. The new Summer Smooches line has a Summer Smooches Digital Kit... which of course I got because I love the Summer Smooches. In it there is a template for a premade card. All you have to do is personalize it or just print it out as is.

So... after seeing Julie's card I decided to try it myself. It was easy enough. Just pulled it out... deleted the phrase and the cardstock it was on and I printed it out... at home on Whisper White card stock. I have to admit... the print was pretty good. I'm impressed.

So here's my card.....
Isn't it great! All I did was trim it up and slap it on some Pear Pizzaz CS and used Island Indigo as my card base. I cut a 1" strip of Daffodil delight and embossed the phrase "thanks" using white embossing powder. (wow... haven't had my embossing gun out for a while. I miss it). I added some bling just to dress it up. It was SUPER EASY and it looks great. I'm going to show it off at my workshop tonight. I May even let them try it just to see how easy it is.
Now... imagine your scrapbook pages.....! I have played with the program a little but today I learned a lot. I cant wait to get back home tonight and play again. Stampin Up has it's own print services which are EXCELLENT! But as you can see... you can even print stuff out yourself or at your local print shop. I saw the other day someone was talking about a wide format personal printer. It prints up to like 13x14 or something crazy. I just know that it DOES print 12x12 pages. Can you imagine? So excited!
Off to get packed for my class! See you tomorrow!

(The "thanks" came from a retired Stampin Up set called Much Appreciated.)

Fresh Vintage and Everyday Enchantment DSP

Hello! This is going to be a short post. I'm ready for bed but wanted to share this card with you. I just love the colors of the Everyday Enchantment DSP and the Fresh Vintage stamp set is awesome. I got both these items FREE which makes it even better.

I got this idea from Lisa Martz over at Get Your Stamp On! I had everything laid out but I didn't like the way the base framelit was so large. I got on Pinterest and somehow I ended up seeing the way she did her framelit. It was just what I needed. Thanks Lisa!

Here's my card....

Short version of supplies....
Card Stock: Soft Suede, Poppy Parade, Pool Party, Whisper White
And of course, Everyday Enchantment DSP
Ink:  Poppy Parade, Pool Party, Peach Parfait, Lucky Limeade
Tools:  Big Shot, Labels Framelits, Modern Label Punch, Word Window Punch,
and Dotted Scallop Ribbon Border

I may add some bling tomorrow. I've got some Rhinestones just dying to be used.
Happy Crafting.... and Good Nite! :)

Summer Smooches!!!

Just as Sale-a-bration ends... Stampin Up has another surprise around the corner. You can preorder the Summer Smooches items BEFORE the new catalog comes out June 1st. I've received mine and LOVE them. The Bright Blossoms stamp set is great and I'm already in love with the Summer Smooches DSP. I posted a card yesterday using them. Here it is again.

I just love those colors. You can also order the Summer Smooches Digital download for MDS.

Speaking of MDS......

Have you tried My Digital Studio yet? Click on the banner above for your free 30 day trial. I warn you though... you are going to love it!

If you've already tried MDS...

As promised... here are the most recent downloads available for MDS. I love all these! And the last pic has the prices. I think they are well worth it.

Emptiness :(

There is an emptiness in My Cricut Closet. I'm very sad.
Can you guess what these two pictures are?

(I'm using my Cricut mats to hide my ugly wall)

The first picture is where my Imagine sits and the second picture is where my E2 sits... ok... DID sit. :(
My Imagine start acting funky so I called Provo Craft. I have to send it off for them to work on. If they can't fix it they are going to replace it. They definitely have excellent customer service.  I generally use my Imagine more than anything. So... I got my E2 and started to use it... it wouldn't come on. This was about 2 weeks after my Imagine pooped out. So I call Provo Craft again and they say it's not fixable. They have to replace it. Sad thing.... my E2 is the Anniversary Edition that came with the extra cartridges. They don't have any more of those so I am getting a replacement of just a regular E2. Supposedly they are going to try and get me the extra carts. Maybe digitally on Cricut Craft Room. Not sure how that's going to work.

Of course... I was supposed to send them off a while back. I kept putting it off. Not sure why. I guess I was working so much that I just didn't get it done. So now they are both leaving. :( What am I going to do without them? I have no ideo how long it's going to take to get them back.

But guess what!?!?!?!? I still have my other Expression. I'll just have to pull it out of the closet.

My DH bought this for me several years ago. All I had at the time was the ORIGINAL Cricut. YES!!! I've been in love with Cricut since they came out. I was at CHA when they first introduced it. Wish I still had my pic with Cricut. I sadly sold the original one after moving to my current house. BUT... I sold it to a lady that would never have been able to afford one on her own so it went to a very good home. I remember being SO SO SO excited about it. It was awesome. And that was just the 6x12 mat.

I wonder how long the updates are going to take? LOL! It hasn't been updated for maybe 2 years. Thank goodness for Cricut Craft Room and Gypsy! LOL!

I don't know if this is good news or bad... but while I'm waiting for my Imagine to come back... there is a HUGE empty spot on my desk. I guess that gives me LOTS of room for my stamping. Like I said... that could be good or bad. I'm a very messy crafter.

Well... I hope you don't forget to check out the giveaway video and enter to win. I think I have like only 10 of my followers that are entered. I have some YouTube subscribers entered as well. Good luck!!!

Happy Crafting!
Angie :)

MOJO Monday #234 - Bright Blossoms & Summer Smooches

Can you believe that it is Monday and I actually have my card done for Mojo Monday? I can't. LOL. Usually I keep saying I'm going to do it and then I just don't make it up to my closet to work. Well... not today. I've been wanting to share a card using the new products I got so I headed over to Mojo Monday to get some inspiration. I pulled out my Summer Smooches DSP and my Bright Blossoms stamp set. These products will be available to order April 1st... so mark your calendars. You are gonna love them!

For this card I got my markers out and colored on the stamps to get the colors you see. I love the Stampin Write markers. I don't have all the SU colors in the ink pads (yet)....but I have ALL the markers. Now... no matter what color ink I need... I've got it. Here is my take on this weeks challenge.

The blues and yellows are pretty accurate in the picture... but the Tangerine Tango came out a little brighter than real life. I'm still working on finding a program that I'm happy with to edit my photos. iPhoto is just not doing it for me.

Here is the sketch. I obviously went for square.

Also... don't forget to head over to my YouTube channel and check out my video. I'm doing my first giveaway.

YouTube Giveaway!

YEAH!!! I finally got the video uploaded. It took forever but it's finally there. I've got to find a better way to get my videos uploaded. That was a pain. BUT.... you are all worth it!!! In case you haven't been following... this is my way of celebrating and thanking my YouTube subscribers. I now have 200+. YEAH!!!! I know it's a small giveaway... but... I'm a small blog... LOL. Maybe.... MAYBE... I can make a video tomorrow using the cartridge I'm giving away in it. We will have to see if my sweet boy James is still sick and home.

For now... here is the link to the video. Don't forget... current followers of my blog get TWO entries into the drawing when they comment on any post on my blog or on the video. Make sure if it's not on this post that you mention the giveaway... and if you post on the video.. mention you are a follower.

Time to go to bed. Finally!

Happy Crafting!!!

200 YouTube Subscribers Giveaway!

YEAH! As I said before I'm super excited about reaching 200 subscribers. I never thought that I'd get even closet to that many.
Well... I had promised a giveaway for Friday... last Friday. I FINALLY found my video camera cord just in time. I almost recorded using my iPhone or iPad. LOL. BUT... I found the cord, set the camera up and made the giveaway video. THEN.... well... that's where the problem came. I couldn't get the video uploaded to YouTube. I'm in the process now of getting it done. I thought that I ran into this issue last time and figured everything out. I'm using my iMac and using iMovie. I'm not overly impressed with the program. When I tried to finalized my SEVEN MINUTE video... it said it was going to take FIVE HOURS. What??? That's insane. So... I'm trying again and crossing my fingers and praying. I gotta get this video up TONIGHT! If anyone has any luck with iMovie... let me know your secret. If anyone knows of another program that is relatively inexpensive... or better yet... FREE... let me know.

HEY BLOG FOLLOWERS.... did you know that you are getting entered TWICE in this giveaway? All you have to do is leave a comment on any post on my blog. Just make sure you mention the giveaway. I appreciate you all. Currently I have 29 followers. Good luck!!!

One last thing... this giveaway isn't going to be a Stampin Up giveaway. I don't have the product to do that just yet. Next one hopefully will. :)

SUO Challenge #41 - Easy Events Card Box and Cards

Happy Thursday!
Well... I had hoped to have a video to share with you today. However... my three year old has had a fever over 103 for the past two days. Today he is all better...YEAH!!!... but he's still home with me. He has decided to exert all the energy he missed out on the past two days TODAY. So... no video. BUT... there WILL be one tomorrow. If nothing else I will at least be doing the giveaway that I've been talking about.

I do have a project for you though. I worked on it here and there while James slept. I hope you enjoy it.
My inspiration came from the SUO Challenge of the week. It was "Think Spring". I decided to make a small card box with some 3x3 cards. This is the first time I entered a challenge for SUO. My entry is for the front of the box.

The cards measure 3x3. I used my Stampin Up Simply Scored to make matching envelopes and I used the Simply Scored and the Diagonal Plate to make the box. Maybe I can do a video tomorrow on how I made the box and the envelopes :)

Also... I check out all these blogs and I love the way they photograph their pictures. I'm not so great and I'm experimenting. I made my own little photo box today but it needs some tweaking. I had seen a YouTube video on how to make it but I can't find the video now so I kind of made it up from memory and I know it's horribly wrong. But it is how I took my photos today. I would love your ideas and comments about how YOU take your photos of your projects.

And I always love how someone takes a "sneak peak" preview of a card or just highlights part of it. My cards today are pretty simple but I wanted to at least take one picture like that, just to see if I could. Again... still working on that. But here's my pic. Tell me what you think.

It lacks that "wow" factor but I'm not sure how to get it. Somebody want to help me out?

Heres my supply list:

My Digital Studio!

I know, I know! This is my third post today. Crazy huh?! But I'm starting to feel better and I haven't went back to work yet so I have some extra time on my hands.

If you haven't tried the whole digital scrapbooking yet... I'm right there with you. I've been very hesitant to incorporate the digital world into my crafts. BUT... I'm finding as I investigate Stampin Up's My Digital Studio that I really like it. It's so awesome. While I will never make a full conversion over to digital I really like the whole process of creating pages digitally. I have to admit that I'm still a bit slow and figuring it out, but what I've seen so far I really like.

If you are completely unfamiliar with it here is what Stampin Up offers....

Wow! Not sure about where you are but the weather here is great!
It's still early in the week but if you keep an eye out I'm going to be giving away some blog candy. Well... it's actually going to be for YouTube. I passed 200 subscribers. WooHoo!! For those that may have 1000+ subscribers that may not seem like much. But I'm pretty excited about and glad that people are watching and enjoying my videos. Sharing what I love to do and helping others learn is what gives me the greatest satisfaction.
So... I'm recovering from my surgery well but I'm off work for 4 more weeks. Over the weekend I did get to go to a baby shower for my cousins wife. She had a Dr Sues theme but I couldn't find anything so I just got my Stampin Up supplies out and went to town. I thought I wasn't going to be able to go and at the last minute I made this card and plastic paint can. I forgot to take pictures at home so I quickly grabbed them at the shower for a quick pic. Liebster Blog Award

So... over the weekend I "hopped along" with the SweetSassyDiva's Birthday Blog Hop. They had a wonderful hop that was two days. I found SO MANY great blogs along the way. One of the stops I made I found this gift bag with a beautiful flower. I think she said she cut it from the Cricut Cartridge Flower Shoppe. I don't own this cart yet but I love how her flowers turned out. Here is one of them. Isn't it beautiful?

So... the pic is from Friends Craftin' With Friends. And I found today that she awarded me with the Liebster Blog Award! How exciting! This is my first blog award. Thank you so much Brenda!

"Liebster" is German for "Dearest". The award is a "Share the love arrangement", given to inspirational bloggers with less that 200 followers.

Here's the to do list for any of the Liebster Blog Award recipients.

1. Thank your Liebster Blog Award presenter on your blog.

2. Link back to the blogger who presented you the award .

3. Copy and paste the award on your blog.

4. Present the Liebster Blog Award to 5 bloggers with less than 200 followers.

5. Let them know they have been chosen by leaving a comment on their blog.

So... now it's time for me to give this award to 5 bloggers. It was really hard to pick just 5. But here they are.

Lindsey - http://lindsey-doodlings.blogspot.com/
Krista - http://kristajstamps.blogspot.com/
Hope - http://greenbubblecrafts.blogspot.com/
no name -  http://havingameday.blogspot.com/
Cynthia - http://stampwithcynthia.blogspot.com/

Congratulations to these very talented bloggers! I really enjoy the projects they share on their blogs, and hope you do too!

p.s. i love you

I am not supposed to be using the stairs yet but I ventured up today to get into my craft room. I figured that my daughters room is right next door and I could just go in there and lay down if needed. It was pushing it a bit but I know once I go back down I won't be back up.

I know that Valentines Day is over, but who says you can't send a card telling someone that you love them any day of the year? I'm not sure how I found this blog but I came across a card and I just had to CASE it. I'll be mentioning Lindsey from Doodlings in my next blog post as well. She has some cute things on her site so check her out if you get the chance. So here is her card....

And here is mine. I altered it just slightly. These were both very simply and quick to make. Hope you enjoy them. This is the first time I've used the Concord Crush In Color. I like it!
Sorry about the pic... I just took it with my iPhone. I couldn't really set much else up.

(See my pretty Cricut Imagine in the background? :( It's broken and needing to be sent out so it's being neglected. Maybe I can talk the DH into packing it up for me tonight.)

Hello!!!

Hello crafters! Things have been kinda slow around here. I had a minor surgery this week and now I'm laid up in bed recovering. I am spending lots of time getting inspired by my favorite blogs and favorite youtubers. I'm writing down my ideas and making plans for the upcoming weeks. Now is a great time for any suggestions you have. as soon as I can get up the stairs to my craft room I'll be ready to get back in the game.
And... I haven't forgotten about the giveaway I promised. So definitely stay tuned for that. U
