For Everything (Retiring Set) & MDS Downloads

Today has been a busy day. But I did get some stamping in. I started with a card and quickly found that I didn't have all the supplies I needed to complete it. But it gave me the inspiration to move on to the next project... and use what I have ON HAND. LOL!

Retiring May 31, 2012 - For Everything (wood-116954clear-120459)

Click on the links above to purchase 24/7.

For a PDF file of the entire list of retiring stamps click HERE.
To shop for retired sets click HERE. You will also find a picture of all the sets.

I love this stamp set and hate to see that it is retiring. There are lots of images from this set that I like... but ended up only using one. Here's my simple card...

This card came together really easy and really quick. I used the Blossoms Bouquet Triple Layer punch and my Simply Scored to add a little dimension. Hope you enjoy.

Supplies:
One thing I learned while building my Classic Ink Pad collection was that the Stampin Write Markers are AWESOME! I bought the entire color collection of markers before I started building my ink pads. Now I have EVERY color ink that's needed. So no mater what color I need for my project... if I don't have the pad... I've got the marker. For details on joining a Marker Club email me.
***TIP***
I used markers on this card rather than the ink pads.
I did not list the phrase "hello" stamp set. It's from Teeny Tiny Wishes. It's actually "hello baby". I used my Real Red Marker and just colored just the part of the stamp I needed.

AND... Today is Tuesday so new MDS Digital Downloads are available.

Fresh Vintage and Everyday Enchantment DSP

Hello! This is going to be a short post. I'm ready for bed but wanted to share this card with you. I just love the colors of the Everyday Enchantment DSP and the Fresh Vintage stamp set is awesome. I got both these items FREE which makes it even better.

I got this idea from Lisa Martz over at Get Your Stamp On! I had everything laid out but I didn't like the way the base framelit was so large. I got on Pinterest and somehow I ended up seeing the way she did her framelit. It was just what I needed. Thanks Lisa!

Here's my card....

Short version of supplies....
Card Stock: Soft Suede, Poppy Parade, Pool Party, Whisper White
And of course, Everyday Enchantment DSP
Ink:  Poppy Parade, Pool Party, Peach Parfait, Lucky Limeade
Tools:  Big Shot, Labels Framelits, Modern Label Punch, Word Window Punch,
and Dotted Scallop Ribbon Border

I may add some bling tomorrow. I've got some Rhinestones just dying to be used.
Happy Crafting.... and Good Nite! :)

MOJO Monday #234 - Bright Blossoms & Summer Smooches

Can you believe that it is Monday and I actually have my card done for Mojo Monday? I can't. LOL. Usually I keep saying I'm going to do it and then I just don't make it up to my closet to work. Well... not today. I've been wanting to share a card using the new products I got so I headed over to Mojo Monday to get some inspiration. I pulled out my Summer Smooches DSP and my Bright Blossoms stamp set. These products will be available to order April 1st... so mark your calendars. You are gonna love them!

For this card I got my markers out and colored on the stamps to get the colors you see. I love the Stampin Write markers. I don't have all the SU colors in the ink pads (yet)....but I have ALL the markers. Now... no matter what color ink I need... I've got it. Here is my take on this weeks challenge.

The blues and yellows are pretty accurate in the picture... but the Tangerine Tango came out a little brighter than real life. I'm still working on finding a program that I'm happy with to edit my photos. iPhoto is just not doing it for me.

Here is the sketch. I obviously went for square.

Also... don't forget to head over to my YouTube channel and check out my video. I'm doing my first giveaway.

SUO Challenge #41 - Easy Events Card Box and Cards

Happy Thursday!
Well... I had hoped to have a video to share with you today. However... my three year old has had a fever over 103 for the past two days. Today he is all better...YEAH!!!... but he's still home with me. He has decided to exert all the energy he missed out on the past two days TODAY. So... no video. BUT... there WILL be one tomorrow. If nothing else I will at least be doing the giveaway that I've been talking about.

I do have a project for you though. I worked on it here and there while James slept. I hope you enjoy it.
My inspiration came from the SUO Challenge of the week. It was "Think Spring". I decided to make a small card box with some 3x3 cards. This is the first time I entered a challenge for SUO. My entry is for the front of the box.

The cards measure 3x3. I used my Stampin Up Simply Scored to make matching envelopes and I used the Simply Scored and the Diagonal Plate to make the box. Maybe I can do a video tomorrow on how I made the box and the envelopes :)

Also... I check out all these blogs and I love the way they photograph their pictures. I'm not so great and I'm experimenting. I made my own little photo box today but it needs some tweaking. I had seen a YouTube video on how to make it but I can't find the video now so I kind of made it up from memory and I know it's horribly wrong. But it is how I took my photos today. I would love your ideas and comments about how YOU take your photos of your projects.

And I always love how someone takes a "sneak peak" preview of a card or just highlights part of it. My cards today are pretty simple but I wanted to at least take one picture like that, just to see if I could. Again... still working on that. But here's my pic. Tell me what you think.

It lacks that "wow" factor but I'm not sure how to get it. Somebody want to help me out?

Heres my supply list:

My Digital Studio!

I know, I know! This is my third post today. Crazy huh?! But I'm starting to feel better and I haven't went back to work yet so I have some extra time on my hands.

If you haven't tried the whole digital scrapbooking yet... I'm right there with you. I've been very hesitant to incorporate the digital world into my crafts. BUT... I'm finding as I investigate Stampin Up's My Digital Studio that I really like it. It's so awesome. While I will never make a full conversion over to digital I really like the whole process of creating pages digitally. I have to admit that I'm still a bit slow and figuring it out, but what I've seen so far I really like.

If you are completely unfamiliar with it here is what Stampin Up offers....

  • My Digital Studio, 118108 $79.95, DVD Software
    • Full Software
    • Over $500 worth of content
    • 400+ Designer Series Paper patterns
    • 62 stamp brush sets
    • 650+ embellishments
    • 25 punches
    • 140 designer templates
  • My Digital Studio Express, 124483 $39.95, Downloadable Software
    • Full Software
    • Over $50 worth of content
    • 12 Designer Series paper patterns
    • 1 stamp brush set
    • 81 embellishments
    • 26 punches
    • 5 designer templates
This will get you started. There are also much more items to add to the basic software. They are regularly coming out with new downloads. And if you get the Express package for $39.95 and decide you really like it, you can add the Express Booster Pack (DVD or Downloadable) for $39.95. This will give you the same full digital content as the full DVD version of the software. And.... right now you can try My Digital Studio Express FREE for 30 days. Click below to get  your trial version
One of the great things about My Digital Studio is that you can make hybrid products. You can create digital pages and then go back after its printed and add your actual embellishments to the page.
Another great thing is that Stampin Up releases new downloads for the software weekly that you can add to your software. Starting today I will be doing a weekly post showing you the new downloads. They are super cute. While some of them are completely different artwork than what you'll find in the catalog... you can look through and there are loads of digital content that matches the stamp sets and paper in the catalog. So here's a little taste of what came out today. Every week when there is new downloads I'll be sharing them with you.

AND... as I said in my last post... right now is Sale-a-bration. Right now you can get the One Big Sale-a-bration CD that has all the exclusive SAB products in digital format. I can tell you that I have one and I love it. The best thing is that I got it for FREE!!! Order $50 worth of product and you can get it free too.
So here is the new downloads this week for MDS.... enjoy!

And as you can see... the prices are very reasonable. The adorable butterfly download is only $11.95.
I'll be having a video on my blog soon showing you some of the things you can do. LOL!!! Wish me luck.

Stampin Up's Easy Events Baby Shower Gift

Wow! Not sure about where you are but the weather here is great!
It's still early in the week but if you keep an eye out I'm going to be giving away some blog candy. Well... it's actually going to be for YouTube. I passed 200 subscribers. WooHoo!! For those that may have 1000+ subscribers that may not seem like much. But I'm pretty excited about and glad that people are watching and enjoying my videos. Sharing what I love to do and helping others learn is what gives me the greatest satisfaction.
So... I'm recovering from my surgery well but I'm off work for 4 more weeks. Over the weekend I did get to go to a baby shower for my cousins wife. She had a Dr Sues theme but I couldn't find anything so I just got my Stampin Up supplies out and went to town. I thought I wasn't going to be able to go and at the last minute I made this card and plastic paint can. I forgot to take pictures at home so I quickly grabbed them at the shower for a quick pic. The lighting wasn't too great so sorry for the cruddy picture. But here they are. She's having a boy... as you can tell. She seemed to love them. :)

p.s. i love you

I am not supposed to be using the stairs yet but I ventured up today to get into my craft room. I figured that my daughters room is right next door and I could just go in there and lay down if needed. It was pushing it a bit but I know once I go back down I won't be back up.

I know that Valentines Day is over, but who says you can't send a card telling someone that you love them any day of the year? I'm not sure how I found this blog but I came across a card and I just had to CASE it. I'll be mentioning Lindsey from Doodlings in my next blog post as well. She has some cute things on her site so check her out if you get the chance. So here is her card....

And here is mine. I altered it just slightly. These were both very simply and quick to make. Hope you enjoy them. This is the first time I've used the Concord Crush In Color. I like it!
Sorry about the pic... I just took it with my iPhone. I couldn't really set much else up.

(See my pretty Cricut Imagine in the background? :( It's broken and needing to be sent out so it's being neglected. Maybe I can talk the DH into packing it up for me tonight.)

Wow! It's that time of year. Stampin Up's biggest promotional event. I was a Stampin Up Demonstrator for several years but stepped away for a while. This is my first SAB event for me since I've been back and I had forgotten just how exciting it is. Stampin Up is giving away so many FREE products. It's so awesome! I can't wait to share the Sale-A-Bration brochure with all my stampin, scrappin and paper craftin friends. There are three ways to earn FREE products and it's super simple....

Love stamping with friends? Invite some friends over, I'll prepare all the projects, your friends can earn free products from the SAB brochure and  you get additional free products for hosting. It doesn't get much better than that.

Treats for Valentines

Hello Crafters! Over the weekend I got inspired to make some items for my kids to take to school for Valentines day. I don't have a lot of Valentines stuff so I used what I had. I'm horrible about planning ahead for these things so my Stampin Up sets that I wanted to use are not here yet. One set that I'm getting is the PS I Love You set from the Occassions Mini Catalog. I can't wait!!! I've got all kinds of other supplies coming too. I'll definitely be sharing that with you when it gets here.
Anyhow... I decided that I couldn't wait and I'd sift through what I already have that is current. Here is what I came up with.

You'll notice that I used the Triple Treat flower... again! And to think... when I got that stamp in my Stampin Up kit I didn't think I'd be that impressed with it. But I've used the heck out of it. It's been very versatile. When I didn't have anything for Thanksgiving it was my go to stamp... same thing with Christmas... and now here I am using it for Valentines Day. I like a stamp that can be used  year round for any occasion :) The other stamp set I used was Pretty Postage. Both are only $8.95 and both are pretty versatile.

Oh.... before I forget... the idea for the sucker I got from Angie Kennedy Juda over at Chic N Scratch. I didn't have those supplies so I changed the dimensions and used a different stamp set. Thanks Angie for the idea!

Here are the supplies used. These were really simple to make so I'm going to do a video and post it no later than tomorrow.

And I can't wait to share all the new projects, stamp sets, ideas and embellishments with you. Stampin Up (SU) has added so many new things since I had last seen a catalog. They have so many new wonderful stamp sets, new colors, new projects, new embellishments and some awesome new tools. They have even added some digital software for those that like to create digitally. They've really expanded their scrapbooking items as well. I love all the new tools, especially all the punches and Big Shot items.

I'm just getting started so I have lots of things to get in place. Right now I'd like to invite anyone that is local to come to my Open House on Sept 1 @ 7:00pm. You can also check out my website to order on line. Soon I will be posting my upcoming events, specials and clubs. One of the things that I'm really excited about is my Virtual Stamp Club... more details on that later.

For now... I'm off to create some new projects with my new stuff. I will post pictures as I get some things complete. Until then... feel free to log onto the website and browse our online catalog. Online ordering is so easy. Let me know if you have any questions and enjoy!
