Sale-A-Bration is here!!!

Wow! It's that time of year. Stampin Up's biggest promotional event. I was a Stampin Up Demonstrator for several years but stepped away for a while. This is my first SAB event for me since I've been back and I had forgotten just how exciting it is. Stampin Up is giving away so many FREE products. It's so awesome! I can't wait to share the Sale-A-Bration brochure with all my stampin, scrappin and paper craftin friends. There are three ways to earn FREE products and it's super simple....

Spend $50 on anything in the catalog or mini catalog and  you earn one FREE item from the SAB brochure. You get to choose from exclusive SAB stamp sets, embellishments and select current stamp sets from the catalog. You can even choose a digital download of all the SAB items. How cool is that?!?! You can earn these rewards on orders placed at a workshop or party... or you can simply go online and order. Click here to order online.

Love stamping with friends? Invite some friends over, I'll prepare all the projects, your friends can earn free products from the SAB brochure and  you get additional free products for hosting. It doesn't get much better than that.

Ok... well maybe it does get a little better. There's never been a better time than now to join Stampin Up. Not only will you get a free package of designer series paper or a digital download EVERY month in 2012... you can join for only $125. And that's the entire kit. What a great value!! So if you've ever thought about being a Stampin Up Demonstrator now is the time... whether you are interested in starting a career and earning money to do what you love... or even if you just want to order at a discount and be a hobbyist. Whatever your goals are... now is the time to start. Getting started is easy... just click HERE! And remember... if you have any questions I'm just a click away.

Another awesome thing about Sale-A-Bration... we have an incredible mini catalog that is available to purchase from now through April 30th. It's full of new products that will make it easy to get the free products you want through SAB. Click below to view the Occasions Mini Catalog and the Sale-A-Bration Brochure.

Treats for Valentines

Hello Crafters! Over the weekend I got inspired to make some items for my kids to take to school for Valentines day. I don't have a lot of Valentines stuff so I used what I had. I'm horrible about planning ahead for these things so my Stampin Up sets that I wanted to use are not here yet. One set that I'm getting is the PS I Love You set from the Occassions Mini Catalog. I can't wait!!! I've got all kinds of other supplies coming too. I'll definitely be sharing that with you when it gets here.
Anyhow... I decided that I couldn't wait and I'd sift through what I already have that is current. Here is what I came up with.

You'll notice that I used the Triple Treat flower... again! And to think... when I got that stamp in my Stampin Up kit I didn't think I'd be that impressed with it. But I've used the heck out of it. It's been very versatile. When I didn't have anything for Thanksgiving it was my go to stamp... same thing with Christmas... and now here I am using it for Valentines Day. I like a stamp that can be used  year round for any occasion :) The other stamp set I used was Pretty Postage. Both are only $8.95 and both are pretty versatile.

Oh.... before I forget... the idea for the sucker I got from Angie Kennedy Juda over at Chic N Scratch. I didn't have those supplies so I changed the dimensions and used a different stamp set. Thanks Angie for the idea!

Here are the supplies used. These were really simple to make so I'm going to do a video and post it no later than tomorrow.

Importing .gypsy and .cut Files into Cricut Craft Room

Hello fellow Cricut Lovers!!! It has been a while since my last post or video. Things have been super busy and have finally died down. But I'm BACK now and I am so excited about the plans I have for 2012. One thing you will see for the new year is more videos. Of course I LOVE my Cricut machines and CCR but I will also be throwing in quite a bit more Stampin Up! projects. I am also super excited that my husband is working on a new web site for me. YEAH!!! I can't wait to share it with you when it is up and running. I'm sure that when it's ready I'll be ready to start giving away some blog candy. That's going to be pretty exciting. I've never done any giveaways on my blog yet. So that is sure to come. Keep watching:)

Ok... so... I was able to spend a little time in my Cricut Closet today (if you read my very first blog post you'll see why I call it that:) and got to playing around with Cricut Craft Room and Cricut Design Studio. So I have a video for you today on how to import files into CCR. As you watch the video you will find that I ran into a little issue when I first starting importing my files. But thanks to the awesome people over at Cricut Craft Room Blog I was able to figure it pretty quickly. As I show you in the video... there are a few steps that you MUST take or your files will load into CCR blank.

Here's the short version....

1) In CDS open your .cut file. Change the name and save as a .gypsy file.
2) Import your new gypsy file onto your gypsy. Open the file on your gypsy and RESAVE and change the name.
3) Export the new renamed gypsy file back onto your computer
4) Import into CCR

Simple enough? Ok... here is the video in case you need a little more detail. It's great to be back!!!
